Hello!

Hi - I'm Morag and I work from my home studio in Bangor, N.Ireland to design and make each piece of jewellery.

I started making jewellery many years ago, as a teenager making simple jewellery for myself from beads and string. Over time my interest in creating unique pieces led me to intricate beadwork and wire work and finally to metalsmithing and enamelling. I've taken courses in silversmithing but most of my learning process has been through trial and error, and a lot of practice!

Handmade jewellery is so special - it's made to last and because each piece is made individually, by hand, it is truly unique. I absolutely love the freedom of creating whatever I want and often make one off items of jewellery, especially with semi precious stones that are totally "one of a kind" in the way they are cut or their colour and markings.

I have a small studio set up in a room in my house that looks out over the garden and it's such a great feeling to close the door and sit at my bench, where I can hear the birds, ready to create something new.

It's also very important to me to be as environmentally friendly as possible so I only use recycled silver, use safe alternatives to toxic chemicals when soldering, cleaning and polishing and melt down and recycle all my scrap so there's no waste.

The packaging I use is made from eco-friendly cardboard sourced from trees grown in FSC certified forests.

My jewellery is intended to last a lifetime and to be worn and enjoyed for years to come.
